There’s an old-timey word that we want to introduce to you: stewardship. Trust God with your money-He owns it anyway. Instead of white knuckling your way through your anxiety and playing out millions of scenarios in your mind, let it go, lay your requests before God, and feel Him lift that heavy load off your back. You can trade your fears for God’s peace if you’re willing to lay out your requests to Him (Philippians 4:6–7). His peace is powerful! It’s the only things that will truly loosen your tight chest when you feel like you can’t take another breath. The question is, are you allowing Him to lift your burden? He’s near to those who are broken and confused. Did you catch that? God’s not far away, kicking His feet up on some heavenly footstool, shaking his head, and hoping that it works out for us. The first thing we need to get straight is this: God cares deeply about our suffering, and He invites us to cast our burdens on Him (1 Peter 5:7). God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Will my loved ones get sick? How will I make ends meet after losing my job? Will the economy ever recover? Some of us entertain those thoughts and start to spiral, and others of us take the ostrich approach-burying our heads in the sand and waiting until it’s over!īut there’s a third way to deal with fear, and it’s the best one: Hand off your anxieties to God. Maybe you feel buried by anxiety from the moment you open your eyes in the morning. Take your fear and anxiety to God-He can handle it.Īll of us are fighting fear these days. What does the Bible have to say about economic hardship? Here are five principles for trusting God with your money.ġ. He’s steady, and He’s ready, willing and able to sustain us through anything. Faith reminds us that God’s in control, and that we need to rely on Him to see us through, even when the path ahead is dark and unsteady. We need guidance and hope that’s bigger than ourselves.įaith is essential at all times, but it’s really important to rely on faith during difficult and trying times. Whether you believe in God or not, you’ve got to at least admit that you don’t have all the answers. Instead, let them tread on their financial weakness and step boldly into their financial breakthrough, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.Tough times force us to ask some deep questions. I pray that Your people will not be hurt by financial difficulties. It is not by might, nor by power but by Your Spirit, Amen.Īll-powerful God, I thank You because You have given Your people authority to tread on serpents and scorpions! You have given people authority over all the power of the enemy and because of this nothing shall ever hurt them. Lord I know that a financial breakthrough will come if we put our trust and our finances into You. Thanks be to God! Lord, I thank You for the financial breakthrough that has not happened yet! Your word says that You give Your people the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, so I praise You for the victory You promise. I declare that those who feel bound by they finances are made free, Amen! I pray that Your conquering spirit takes a hold of their finances and I declare financial breakthrough. Righteous Conqueror, I thank You because in all these things Your people are more than conquerors through You who loved them! Lord, You love Your people and because of Your unconditional love they can overcome any situation that they are faced with. I pray that they focus not on what the devil has done to their finances but I pray that they walk in the knowledge that You are in control, Amen. I pray that they resist him and stand firm in the faith. Let them remember that the enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. I pray that Your people stay self-controlled and alert in all areas of their life. Lord, help Your children to see things as You do, let their eyes be opened in Jesus’ Name. I declare that Your children walk with the authority and power that You have placed within them, Amen. Lord You have overcome the plans the enemy has over their finances because greater is He who is in them than He who is in the world. I pray that Your people who are struggling remember that they belong not to the world, but belong to You. Heavenly Father, I thank You because I am from You. I declare financial breakthrough over the lives of Your people, Amen. I pray against the plans of the enemy which cause financial ruin. Lord, I pray that when ruling in the hearts of Your people, You also rule in their finances. I pray that they resist the devil because in doing so, he will flee from them and their finances. God of power, I pray that those who need a financial breakthrough submit themselves to You.
